4. 自身を「口が重い」者だと感じていましたが、出エジプト記4章10-12節の「主が口と共にいて語らせる」という言葉に励まされ、自分の弱さではなく、神が何を成すかに信頼するよう心が整えられました。
5. 妻のメーガンさんは牧師家庭で育ち、奉仕に伴う犠牲や「家族時間の喪失」への不安を感じていました。しかし、その不安が自己中心的なものであったと悔い改め、神の御心に従う決心をしました。

4. He felt he was "slow of speech," but was encouraged by Exodus 4:10-12, where the Lord says He will be with his mouth and teach him what to say. His heart was prepared to trust not in his own weakness, but in what God would accomplish.
5. His wife, Megan, also grew up in a minister's family and felt anxious about the sacrifices involved in ministry, specifically the "loss of family time." However, she repented, realizing that this anxiety was self-centered, and decided to follow God's will.
6. The couple reaffirmed Ephesians 3:20, renewing their trust that God is one who works far beyond our requests and thoughts. They prepared their hearts not to limit God's work with their own thinking.
7. The minister initially struggled with reading scripture and organizing his thoughts, but supported by God's grace, the help of the Holy Spirit, and his family's prayers, he has realized his growth while continuing to serve.
